Let's talk a bit more about what happens in a holotropic breathwork session in more detail, and hear a note from the facilitator.

First, why should you participate in a breathwork session?

In life, many of us narrow our expression for the sake of being in line with society. We might possess a certain character at the office, with our friends, or with our partner. This narrow behavior causes our body to be confined and suppressed, and most of us are not even aware of it. Our body is shaped by a strict personality, which we became so identified with that we forgot who we are.

Breathwork enables us to express the accumulated emotions such as anger, sadness, and happiness that didn't have the opportunity to be expressed. The word "holotropic" comes from the Greek words "holos" and "trepein"—together they mean "moving into wholeness." Through the breath, a catharsis unfolds, releasing repressed emotions and creating a therapeutic process.

The Breathwork Session and Personal Note

What Happens in a Session:

Each session is divided into a few parts: a conversation, breathwork, and a reflection talk. The session is tailored each time to the individual or the group, and there is no pressure at any moment. The participant is always moving at their own pace and is only encouraged to follow the breathwork guidelines.

Stage One: Introduction We introduce the breathwork—how we breathe and what we can expect to feel in the body. In a 1:1 session, we share an open talk about what is sensed in the body and discuss possible tensions and heaviness present in the body. We always build a space of trust and relaxation to enable surrender to the breathwork.

Stage Two: Setting the Space This happens on a comfortable therapy bed or mat, where we make sure you are lying down comfortably with a pillow, an eye mask to cover your eyes, and a blanket.

Stage Three: Beginning the Breath With the support of evocative music, you are given instruction on your breath, and through the guidance, your conscious breathwork begins.

Stage Four: The Journey Deepens Using different techniques of voice and pressure points by the facilitator, the body naturally encounters the emotionally charged spots through its inner radar and brings them to the surface. Emotions, physical tensions, and twists in the body are part of the body's enlivening and its therapeutic process. The facilitator is your co-adventurer in the process, supporting you with touch and presence.

As we move together through this journey, emotions often surface—tears, laughter, trembling, or silence. You have the space to fully let go while the facilitator holds a safe ground, supporting pressure points such as the chest, diaphragm, belly, legs, or shoulders. Throughout the process, there is constant communication between us—you are always invited to raise your hand when you need attention to a certain part of your body, and you will receive the support you need.

Stage Five: Integration Regulating the system and relaxing on the bed with soft music, allowing your system to integrate the experience. You may feel lightness, warmth, and gentle calm.

The breathwork with Eyal was very intense and healing. I could go through my processes and felt safe, supported and also led when I needed it. He was very strong, present, and emotionally intuitive.
He touched me where and when I needed it and led me safely through the sometimes challenging process.
He was there — and I could really heal.
I would totally recommend it to everybody who wants to come closer to themselves.”

“I came to Eyal’s breathwork workshop without really knowing what to expect — I just felt I needed to pause for a moment after a few intense, nonstop weeks.

From the very first moment, there was a sense of calm, safety, and presence in the space.

Eyal was professional, sensitive, and created a feeling that it was completely okay to simply be.

The practice itself was far more powerful than I imagined.

I couldn’t believe that breathing alone could open up so many emotions, memories, and insights.

There were moments that were both moving and intense, but I always felt held — free to feel, release, and breathe through it.

By the end of the session, I felt lighter and quieter, as if I had returned to myself after a long time.

I’ve carried the tools I learned that day with me ever since.

I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
